I am a PhD student in the Department of Electric Engineering and Computer Science and CSAIL at MIT. My research focuses on models and algorithms for predictive agents that improve the efficiency of human robot collaboration, mainly in manipulation tasks. I’m interested in the applications of humans working together with robots, both when human and robot share the workspace such as in manufacturing or when humans act as an operator of a robot in a remote environment as is the case of disaster response.

In IRG I work on predictive models for human motion applied to human-robot collaboration in manufacturing and teleautonomy in disaster response. I participate in the DARPA Robotics Challenge with the Team MIT.

Prior to joining the IRG I worked in the Simón Bolívar University in Venezuela, where I hold an Assistant Professorship in the Electronics and Circuits Department and the Mechatronics Research Group. My background and past research includes mobile robotics, computer vision, teleoperation, UAVs, state estimation and intelligent transportation systems (ITS).

I tweet about robotics at @cpdarobotics, post recent videos about my research progress on youtube, keep a resume in linkedin, have a Google Scholar profile, and have more info in my personal website.
