Hi! My name is Ryan Chen and I am a first-year Master’s student in AeroAstro. I grew up in Orlando, Florida and I graduated with a B.S.E. in Industrial & Operations Engineering and a B.M. in Euphonium Performance from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. At Michigan, I conducted research with Profs. Amy Cohn and Mark Daskin in the domains of aviation and healthcare operations. Within the IRG, I am interested in the application of scheduling techniques from both artificial intelligence and operations research to human-robot collaborative environments.

Outside of school, I can be found in a variety of musical environments – in a practice room in Building 4, in rehearsal/performance with the New England Brass Band, or in the audience at any of the many jazz clubs and concert halls around Boston/Cambridge.
