I am a postdoc in the Interactive Robotics Group at MIT. I received my Ph.D. and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics from the University of Pennsylvania, where I worked in the Haptics Group of the GRASP Lab.
I am fascinated by both humans and their robotic counterparts. My PhD work leveraged previous scientific knowledge of the human sensory-motor system to design interfaces that allowed a human to teleoperate (remotely control) a humanoid robot. Here at IRG, I am working on similar teleoperation systems with the goal of giving more autonomy to the remote robot.
